Dominic Anthony Starkenberg Ferrari Accident Death, Obituary – Liberty High School Students Killed In Crash

Dominic and Caden, both 17 and seniors at Liberty High School in Brentwood, were close friends and are remembered for their vibrant personalities and promising futures. A third 17-year-old boy in the Infiniti was injured but has been released from the hospital, while the driver of the BMW was also hurt. Antioch police continue to investigate the cause of the crash and have not yet disclosed who was driving the Infiniti.

Dominic’s mother, Stephanie Starkenberg-Ferrari, shared an emotional account of her heartbreak after discovering her son’s death. She recounted how she checked his location, saw he was missing, and when she and her husband found the scene, she was overwhelmed with grief upon learning the tragic news. She expressed her profound sorrow, describing Dominic as her “buddy from the beginning” and sharing how her heart is shattered.

Dominic is survived by his parents and a 13-year-old sister. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the Ferrari family, and a memorial fund has also been established for Caden’s family to help cope with their loss.

On Monday, students and community members gathered at Liberty High School to mourn the loss of these two young lives. Many expressed their sadness and sympathy, emphasizing how precious and fleeting life is. Kwesi Arkaah, a fellow student, reflected on their sense of humor and the bright futures that were tragically cut short. Cynthia Reynolds, a parent of Liberty students, voiced her condolences, praying for the families during this heartbreaking time.
