Damien John Obituary, Death –  It is with deep sorrow that we share the tragic news of the death of Damien John Shaw, a Fremantle native, and his two young children, who were found dead in their home in Kuta, Bali. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, has shocked the community and prompted an investigation by local authorities.

Damien John Shaw, aged 56, along with his children a boy aged six and a girl aged four were discovered deceased in their bungalow in a popular tourist area. Police are currently treating the case as a suspected murder-suicide, though the exact cause and manner of death remain under investigation pending further examinations.

The tragedy came to light after neighbors, concerned over a phone call between the wife of Damien and her husband, checked into the family’s home and found no response. The wife, who was not in Bali at the time and had traveled to Jakarta in the days prior, had contacted a neighbor after hearing her children crying during a call with her husband. Unable to reach him afterward, she alerted authorities.

Local police, with assistance from the community, forced entry into the residence and discovered the victims inside. The scene has been described as deeply distressing.
